How to claim a Profy blog on Technorati?
Today I
realized that I have not claimed my authorship of this blog on Technorati yet. And since usually
Technorati is the first tool the majority of bloggers use to make their blogs
noticed by other bloggers, I have decided to correct this by claiming this
Profy blog.
Obviously,
I already have an account on Technorati that owns our multi-author Profy blog (I will appreciate you adding this blog to
your favorites, of course, if you like reading our posts). If you do not
have an account yet, you will have to register first.

Zigmas, the only thing that you seem not to understand is that you are not a regular internet user - a regular user searches for some info on Google, finds it, reads it and leaves the page. So when a blogger creates content he hopes that the internet users will find this content on HIS blog instead of on some splog where content is stolen from other bloggers. Simply because regular internet users do not really often click through to the original source if the entire post is already available for review :) Keep in mind that you are unique when making assessments of user behavior and blogger reactions :)
I can not agree that blogs are merely for self-expression any more. I know what a hard full-time job blogging is - I've been managing Profy blog at http://www.profy.com/blog/ for a year and a half now and I know how difficult it is and how little of enjoyable personal self-expression a serious problogger can find in the process. And some blogs have really become a very important source of information on topics such as politics or technology - which have nothing to do with personal information.
As for your proposal to use bloggers to collect information, I don't think it is all that easy to manipulate people to do what you want - they will always do what they find interesting, entertaining and enjoyable and hardly anything else. Don't you think so?
Thank you for the explanation of Diigo disadvantages - when you are only a trial user, you will never get the whole picture of what the product really is, it is always better to ask a heavy user or a professional :)
