How to claim a Profy blog on Technorati?
Today I
realized that I have not claimed my authorship of this blog on Technorati yet. And since usually
Technorati is the first tool the majority of bloggers use to make their blogs
noticed by other bloggers, I have decided to correct this by claiming this
Profy blog.
Obviously,
I already have an account on Technorati that owns our multi-author Profy blog (I will appreciate you adding this blog to
your favorites, of course, if you like reading our posts). If you do not
have an account yet, you will have to register first.

It is nice to try to unterstand our misunderstanding.
1. Regular internet user.
YES, you are right - there are problems with foreign languages.
As I contacted both with US and European I remember that we sometimes did not understood each other or US colleague asked me what some Sweden or Latvian speaks about.
I typically answered that it is Baltic English and I understand it very well. But typically they used different terms.
Svetlana. It would be fine if you find a time to read a 35 pages study report
about _Google generation"
http://www.jisc.ac.uk/media/documents/programmes/reppres/gg_final_keynote_11012008.pdf
You will find information that it is related with this issue (regular internet user).
2. Access in Profy
I have remembered that it might be useful to use and the third access level - "team".
Then we shall have 3 access levels:
Yes it is complicated when you need to use a number of different tools.
When you evaluate any of them it is not a problem to use it but when you use a number of tools
you need remember sometimes very different interfaces.
E.g. when you save a Web clip in Zotero or EverNote you need at first select folder and subfolder.
If you use Scrapbook you can select or create a new folder after selecting Web clip.
3. Evernote
Yes, I test it and has saved a number of info.
I try to enter different types of info, create different system of folders (analog of Categories), different systems of tags, edit info during saving or after saving etc..
But the most important thing is to test USE of saved information:
During days-off I have tried very nice "Export" feature but todays it is not working - I suppose that now I must buy. But there is no message.
I plan to develop an analytical report to compare all Web research tools that I use.
But I think that it will be in month or more.

But the most important thing is to test USE of saved information:
- search and retrieve the saved info using ONE or a NUMBER of tags ( I have tried to use three tags and some tags were TWO words)
- export selected info to use in your report
- edit selected info (e.g. add your notes or delete parts of info)
- recategorize info (e.g. in Scrapbook you drag and drop any subfolder very easy. Evernote does not permit it)
- edit tags (add new ones, delete or edit existing if it possible. I
found that there is some problems with tags, e.g. I could not create a
tag "US" - I get a message - it is ambiguous)
- generate bibliograhy (reference list). Some Web research tools (e.g. Germany Web research tool enables it, but Zotero, Scrapbook and EverNote does not).
During days-off I have tried very nice "Export" feature but todays it is not working - I suppose that now I must buy. But there is no message.
